Bokis World Championship 2010 Diary #6
Hello!
Last week we played last three preparation games. It was during a tournament in Athens. We beat Canada and lost vs Serbia and Greece. We were all shocked after we saw what happened in the game between Greece and Serbia. You rarely see that kind of fight on the basketball court...
Last few days before the World Championship we spent in Kranjska Gora. We were working on details in our team game and trying to get everyone healthy. After a off day on Wednesday we met again yesterday. It was at the airport Ljubljana where we did our last press conference before taking off to Istanbul.
We are staying at the hotel that is actually only about 200m away from my apartment here in Istanbul. I know this area well and in a way I kind of feel like being at home. All the teams except USA are staying here.
Yesterday we already had our first practice here. The arena seems ready. We cant wait for the first game to start. As always, we are going to have a lot of Slovenian fans. They will be loud like they always are! We cant promise to win every game, but we can promise that we will give our 100% best each and every time we step on the court! Go Slovenia !!!!!!!!!!!!
