After a few busy weeks Im writing again. As soon as the World Championship was over I traveled home and had a few days to rest. On one of those days I joined guys from National Team and accepted invitation to meet and greet our president Dr. Danilo Türk. It was a big honor for us to accept congratulations from such an important man. Definetly a moment I will never forget. Our president also promised us, that he will help to achieve a big goal for Slovenian basketball - to host Eurobasket 2013 !
World Championship 2010 was a huge experience for all of us. For the first time Slovenia finished in Top 8. I feel very proud, because I was part of the team that achieved such a great result. As always I have to thank our fans. Without them we wouldnt make it. Also I must say that the tournament was extremely well organized by Turkish Basketball Federation!
Now Im back in Istanbul, but in a different role. Im back with Efes Pilsen and training camp is in full swing. I cant wait for first official games. At the beginning of the Euroleague season we will be traveling to Ljubljana and playing against Olimpija! That is definitely going to be special for me. I hope that Slovenian fans will support Slovenian clubs just as proudly as they support National Team.
