Bokis diary Eurobasket 2009 #3

Our national team finished training camp in Kranjska Gora and now moving to Lubiana. After day off they will have morning practice and doors open day in Tivoli sports hall. Next day (9th August at 20.00 CET) they are going to play a friendly game against Russia (current european champions) also in Tivoli sports hall. Till then enjoy in Bokis diary Eurobasket 2009 #3...

Hello!
We survived the first two weeks of training camp. It was tough. We were working a lot on our conditioning and ran all over Rogla and Kranjska Gora. We also played two friendly games against Macedonia and won both times. The result doesnt really matter at this point. I think we are still far from the we want to be, but thats normal. It wouldnt make a lot of sense if we played great and made all shots at this stage of preparation. The team has to play its best basketball at the right moment, when the main games start and I think we are on a good way.

So far we had some minor problems with injuries and soreness and every player needed some rest at some point. Thats normal.

During the week we found out that our center Primoz Brezec will be joining the Philadelphia 76ers next season. Everyone was happy for him and we all congratulated him.

Now were home. We got a day and a half off. Saturday afternoon were meeting our fans at open practice in Tivoli arena. Everyone is welcome! Well have a chance to meet and take photos with our fans and put up some shots! Cant wait! Sunday and Monday we have two friendly games against currents european champions - Russia. One game is in Lubiana and the other is in Novo Mesto. Come and cheer for us!!

See you!
